CGI’s Trade and Finance group is seeking a skilled and motivated Application Support Engineer to join our dynamic team. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in SQL (development and performance analysis).
  • Experience in web application development/support.
  • Strong knowledge of Java, J2EE, and related technologies.
  • Familiarity with XML/JSON data formats.
  • Solid understanding of design patterns and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience with ORM tools such as Hibernate or MyBatis.
  • Expertise troubleshooting with applications on Spring Framework
  • Experience developing and integrating Web Services

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with the application support team to set up, maintain, and upgrade production and non-production environments.
  • Monitor and report on system performance, risks, and project status to project managers and leadership.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal teams and clients, ensuring clear and timely communication.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application and infrastructure issues across multiple environments.
  • Design and implement automated DevOps solutions and tools to streamline operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in supporting large-scale, multi-tier applications.
  • Strong background in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) technologies and architecture is highly desirable.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on performance and scalability.

  • Security best practices, including SSO and ModSecurity setup.
