Applications Support Engineer – Hybrid (1-2 days office-based). Are you a problem-solver with a passion for delivering exceptional customer support? We’re looking for a Customer Support Engineer to join a collaborative team supporting a very multi-faceted, enterprise-level business application, used by a range of UK household names.
This role blends technical troubleshooting with providing great customer care.
You’ll use Windows as a diagnostic tool—reviewing logs, replicating issues, and investigating faults—not supporting Windows itself (so it would probably more suit an applications support person, rather than a classic IT support analyst who wishes to climb the Microsoft ‘ladder’.
You’ll be the first point of contact for incidents and service requests, working closely with internal teams to resolve issues efficiently and within SLA.

You’ll need:

  • At least 2 years’ experience supporting external clients (not internal users)
  • A solid grasp of Windows environments, Windows Server, and log file analysis
  • Experience supporting proprietary software
  • Strong communication skills and a methodical approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to prioritise and adapt in a fast-paced setting

Expect a mix of remote and office-based work (1–2 days/week), and participation in an on-call rota (circa 1 in 6). Please note that any offer will be subject to high-level security checks.
