Job requirements

As a (Junior) Application & Support Engineer (m/f/d), you will support the stable operation and further development of production-related applications. You will act as an interface between the business department, IT operations, and software development, ensuring that applications function reliably, user requirements are understood, and technical problems are resolved efficiently.


Your tasks

  • Operation and monitoring of production-related applications (e.g. data delivery tools, internal printing applications, etc.)
  • Second-level support for end users – including analysis, troubleshooting, and documentation of malfunctions and requests.
  • User and rights management for supported systems
  • Communication with our service management to gather requirements and translate them into technical measures
  • Collaboration with software development and IT operations, particularly in the context of error analysis, deployments and rollouts.
  • Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, FAQs and knowledge articles
  • Support with testing, releases and projects
  • Incident management and analysis of recurring malfunctions for the sustainable improvement of system stability


This is what you bring with you

  • Initial experience in application support or IT support environment
  • Basic understanding of IT systems, networks and operating systems (especially in the Windows environment)
  • practical experience with ticketing systems (e.g. JIRA, ServiceNow, etc.)
  • Knowledge of user and rights management
  • Good communication skills – clear, service-oriented, team player
  • Excellent German skills, good English skills
