Description
Maintain and grow the existing customer business and develop prospective customers to meet goals agreed with the Sales & M and Logistics Director. Provide a high level of application support to all existing applications / customer. Take initiatives for prospecting, contacting and converting prospects to customer and work in tandem with S&M team. Be actively involved in pre sales and after sales support. Conduct lab and process trials at customer end establish “Suitability To Use” viz a viz competition product. Follow- up and influence the evolution in standardization of lime & limestone applications with the customers. Coordinate on regular basis with production & QC team to ensure suitable material allocation to customer as per specific / application demand. Address QC related concerns / claims from customer on prompt basis in consultation with QC & production team and in coordination with SEM. Coordinate and understand the new innovative products and application concepts being developed and followed at Carmeuse global level to implement in the local industry (as and when needed). Participate fully in all assigned marketing Cross Functional Teams, and contribute actively to the development and execution of the industry / sector / market wise plans for the region. Build and maintain a database of specific requirement customer and application wise. Highlight all customer support requirements and ensure relevant resources are brought into play to resolve issues. Maintain active memberships and participation in relevant industry associations and technical support groups. Understand and report competitor strengths, weaknesses and activities.
Responsibilities
The Application Support Manager is responsible for maintaining and growing customer business while providing high-level application support. They will also conduct trials, coordinate with production and QC teams, and participate in marketing initiatives.
