MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong written/verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, reading drawings, and machine setup.
  • Intermediate understanding of Metallurgy.
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Professionally communicate with varying levels of internal technical staff, external customers, and external suppliers.
  • Proven flexibility with shifting priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Proven organizational skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving abilities.
  • Travel to customer/distributor locations and trade shows as needed. Occasional need for international occasionally travel.
  • Proficient with one CAM System, G-Code, and Macro programming
  • Broad knowledge of cutting tools with the ability to calculate optimal speeds and feeds.
  • Broad & in-depth knowledge of part inspection devices and techniques.
  • Broad & in-depth knowledge of at least one machine control system.
  • Broad & in-depth knowledge of at least one machining platform.
  • Valid “G” driver’s license.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Licensed Machinist/Tool & Diemaker or BS Mechanical Engineering with machining knowledge.
  • 5+ years related experience with progressive development.
  • Experience in part processing, metal cutting, CNC programming, and machine setup.
Responsibilities
  • Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding to facilitate the test cutting process.
  • Define and troubleshoot manufacturing/machining processes.
  • Perform application engineering work independently and set priorities with knowledge of company goals.
  • Design and fabricate fixtures/ work holding for demo’s, test cuts, and turnkeys.
  • Define and troubleshoot complex manufacturing/machining processes.
  • Conduct time estimates for customer parts with 10% tolerance.
  • Use CAPPS conversational programming, industry standard CAM systems, and direct G-Code/ Macro programming to generate CNC programs for parts processing.
  • Setup CNC machines with program, tooling, workpiece, and fixtures including 5-axis and mill-turn.
  • Inspection of finished parts for quality and accuracy.
  • Generate engineering proposals for process and turnkey applications.
  • Generate engineering reports and technical documentation
