About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Applications Administrator to join our program based at Ed Parks, reporting to the Applications Team Lead.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight.
You will be responsible for engaging in stakeholder management across ICT teams, project teams, and customer communities to foster collaboration and support.
Working across all aspects of the day to day management, support and operation of applications and licencing, across all JORN networks.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer Linux (Red Hat) and Windows-based business systems like Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible), and Maximo.
  • Apply vendor patches and updates for security and performance.
  • Manage license usage and renewals for resource optimization.
  • Implement configuration and change management controls for application environments.
  • Monitor systems for faults, performance, and general management.
  • Conduct peer reviews to maintain quality standards.
  • Utilize Agile/Scrum methodology for effective delivery.

About YOU

  • You are self-motivated and resourceful with the ability to foster and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience administering key business applications such as Windchill, DOORS, Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Crowd, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Fisheye/Crucible), or Maximo preferred.
  • Understanding of database technologies, including Oracle and MSSQL.
  • Familiarity with Linux (Red Hat) and Windows operating systems and environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Experience in change management and configuration control.
  • Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
