We are looking for an Applications Analyst to join our team and support a diverse range of third-party applications that are used by staff, students and people external to our institute. You will be performing a wide variety of tasks: troubleshooting both user and application problems, implementing new applications, performing updates, evaluating new features and more. Documentation is critical and you are expected to be an active participant in our KCS practices and keeping our CMDB up to date.
NAIT supports a distributed work model. This position can choose where they want to work, either on campus or at home, anywhere in Canada.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Ability to work independently while still knowing when to ask for assistance
- Effective communication with individuals ranging from entry-level staff to senior management
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies
- Staying calm and focused in stressful situations, such as the outage of an application leading to NAIT being unable to perform a critical business service
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Experience developing and supporting integrations is preferred
- Experience with a variety of application delivery models (SaaS, on-premise, etc.) is preferred
- Experience implementing and supporting applications through their lifecycle is preferred
Applicants with education credentials earned outside of Canada should have their credentials evaluated by World Education Services or the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS).
Remuneration: $74,793.16 - $99,084.96 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day support of applications ranging in size and delivery model
- Optimize application performance and ensure adherence to NAIT standards
- Create and maintain documentation, including knowledge articles and our CMDB
- Collaborate with other teams to create and maintain integrations
- Work with application vendors to resolve technical issues
