Job Description We are seeking a highly skilled Applications Database Administrator (Apps DBA) to manage, maintain, and optimize our diverse database and application environments. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on expertise in Oracle Applications and a wide range of database systems, including SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, and Oracle APEX. Additional knowledge in technologies like WebLogic, Oracle RAC, ASM, Sharding, and Pgpool is highly desirable. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite / Oracle Applications environments. • Perform installation, configuration, tuning, patching, and upgrades for databases, including: • Oracle Database (including RAC and ASM) • SQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL (with Pgpool and Sharding) • Manage and configure Oracle APEX applications. • Administer and support WebLogic Server for application deployment and performance tuning. • Monitor system performance, identify issues, and implement solutions. • Ensure high availability, backup, and disaster recovery solutions across platforms. • Work with development and infrastructure teams to support application lifecycle and deployment. • Implement database security policies and best practices. • Develop and maintain documentation for database architectures, configurations, processes, and procedures. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 5+ years of experience as an Applications DBA or similar role. Hands-on experience with: Oracle E-Business Suite / Applications DBA tasks Oracle RAC and ASM WebLogic Server SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB administration Oracle APEX development/support PostgreSQL Sharding and Pgpool setup and tuning Strong understanding of database security, backup, recovery, and high availability. Excellent problem-solving and performance tuning skills. Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
