APPLICATIONS ENGINEER

Our client, a locally leading engineering company who due to internal promotion are in search of an Application Engineer to join their well-established team in Dungannon

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

  • Provide application support for product range
  • Deliver on-site plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Communicate effectively with customers and distributors during on-site works
  • Gather and collate performance data on equipment and applications
  • Advise dealers/customers on solutions for their application enquires
  • Ensure correct equipment is selected to suit required applications
  • Prepare of AggFlow simulations detailing expected performance parameters
  • Prepare P&ID layouts
  • Maintain and update library of stored information on case studies
  • Provide detailed technical requirements for bespoke plants to the engineering team. Assist in establishing lead-times and costs
  • Carry out testing and analysis of material samples and prepare report of results
  • Investigate new applications for existing products

TO BE SUCCESSFUL FOR THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Ideally having experience in industrial process design
  • Experience with heavy steel engineering would also be advantageous
  • Proven competence in plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting
  • Strong practical engineering skills and experience.
  • Proven abilities in problem-solving
  • Experience of working in a customer facing environment
  • Experience of AggFlow or Creo/Pro-Engineer packages
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with strong presentation, report writing and oral skills
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines
