Description

Power-Flo Technologies is a leading distributor of electrical equipment offering one of the most comprehensive product and service portfolios in the state, including automation, drives, controls, power distribution, and motor repair. We are looking for an experienced Applications Engineer to join our Upstate New York team. You will play a critical role in delivering complete, real-world systems and solutions to our customers.

APPLICATIONS ENGINEER NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS Engineering or equivalent technical degree
  • Knowledge of automation, PLCs, drives, motion control, and machine vision applications
  • Advanced computer skills: Windows, VM Ware, Networking
  • Knowledge of Siemens programming and HMI software a plus
  • Valid and clean NYS driver’s license to operate company vehicles as needed

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Some minor lifting of demo equipment, etc.

Responsibilities
  • Phone and On-Site customer support.
  • Preparation and execution of product training classes including development of course and materials.
  • Attend vendor training classes as offered and/or required.
  • Maintenance, appearance and upgrades to demos.
  • Weekly engineering activity report and schedule.
  • Target and plan for minimum $20K annual engineering and training billings.
  • Minimum 2 customer calls per week, whether technical or sales.
  • Monitor and complete assigned Engineering Tasks
  • Development of product demonstrations, Bills of Materials and product research as required by Sales and Account Managers.
