This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Applications Engineer. In this role, you will provide essential support to the sales force by engaging with customer specifications, preparing proposals, and managing orders. Your contributions will have a significant impact on the efficiency of operations, ensuring that customer needs are met with precision and professionalism. By interfacing with vendors and providing technical support, you will play a key role in maintaining high performance within the organization. This position allows you to leverage your engineering skills and contribute to the success of dynamic projects remotely. \n Accountabilities Review customer specifications and prepare comprehensive professional proposals. Use in-house created software to select optimal pumps, generate scope of supply, and submit orders. Handle customer telephone inquiries. Interface with outside vendors to solicit quotes for equipment. Effectively process orders and manage any issues that arise. Act as a liaison between operations and the customer. Participate in sales calls with the Sales Engineer as part of development. Provide technical support to customers. Participate in pre-award meetings as required. Develop effective rapport with customer contacts. Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency with MS Office and pump selection software. Self-starter with a positive attitude. Highly organized with ability to handle multiple tasks with quick turnaround requirements. Knowledge of municipal water and wastewater systems is preferred. Knowledge of typical municipal tender process is preferred. 5+ years’ experience in rotating equipment, ideally pumps. BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
