Job Description
As the Applications Engineer in our office in Leuven, you’ll play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and validating applications and machines that redefine industry standards. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you’ll translate customer needs into innovative technical solutions that contribute to the differentiation and competitiveness of TOMRA Food’s products and services.
This role will be initially focused on our Belt Sorting products but will expand to other product lines as required.

Requirements Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and pain points.
  • Translate customer needs into technical specifications and requirements for software applications and hardware improvements
Responsibilities

Requirements Analysis:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand customer requirements and pain points.
  • Translate customer needs into technical specifications and requirements for software applications and hardware improvements.

Application Development:

  • Design and develop software and system applications that align with our strategic goals.
  • Work with the Software and AI team to develop AI models, including data labelling and model testing and refinement.
  • Implement solutions that enhance the user experience and contribute to the overall value proposition.

Integration with Business Processes:

  • Ensure seamless integration of applications with existing business processes and systems.
  • Identify automation opportunities and drive process improvements in collaboration with internal teams.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, marketing, R&D, and customer support escalations.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to enhance overall value proposition.
  • Flexibly collaborate within teams and remotely to achieve shared objectives.
