Primary Location VIC - Melbourne - 655 Collins St Job Description Summary Service Stream are on the hunt for an experienced Applications Manager to join our GBIS team! About the Role The Applications Manager - Corporate Systems is responsible for the strategic oversight, management, and support of the company's core corporate application portfolio, with a primary focus on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Resources (HR) systems. This role ensures these critical systems are aligned with business needs, perform optimally, and are maintained to the highest standards of reliability and security. The manager will lead a team of application specialists, coordinate with business stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement within the corporate systems environment. This is a critical, hands-on leadership role based at our modern Head Office on Collins Street, which offers a vibrant environment featuring a balcony, BBQ area, collaborative and quiet spaces, and plenty of natural light. Please note that this role is open to Australian Citizens only. Key Responsibilities: Application Lifecycle Management: Manage the full lifecycle of corporate applications, including planning, implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and decommissioning. This includes critical ERP and HR systems. Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of systems analysts and administrators. Foster a collaborative environment and promote professional growth. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between IT and business units (e.g., Finance, HR, Operations) to gather requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure application functionality meets business needs. System Administration & Support: Oversee the administration, configuration, and daily support of corporate systems, ensuring high availability and resolving incidents in a timely manner. Vendor & Contract Management: Manage relationships with application vendors and service providers, overseeing contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and ongoing performance. Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the long-term roadmap for corporate applications, including recommendations for new technologies, system upgrades, and process improvements. Budget & Cost Management: Monitor and manage the budget for corporate applications, identifying cost-saving opportunities and ensuring optimal return on investment. About You: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in IT, with a strong background in corporate applications, specifically ERP and/or HR systems with 5+ years of experience in a leadership role reporting direct to GM level. Proven knowledge of application support and management best practices. Hands-on experience with a major ERP system (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and/or a major HRIS platform (e.g., Workday, SuccessFactors, Oracle Cloud HCM). Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities. Experience with cloud-based corporate applications. Knowledge of process automation and business intelligence tools.
