Sandvik Coromant Applications Specialist – CNC Metal Cutting Tools (Technical & Sales) - Milton, QLD About the Opportunity In this role, you will act as a trusted technical expert in metal cutting tools, supporting customers with complete machining solutions and ensuring smooth, high-quality delivery across your allocated accounts and territories. By applying Sandvik Coromant’s latest tooling and technology, you will strengthen our market advantage, enhance customer performance, and proactively protect key relationships from competitor influence. Relocation support is available for the right candidate and will be discussed during the interview process. Responsibilities: Promote the latest range of cutting tool solutions to the QLD market Identify and convert business opportunities in the designated customer base Deliver best in class cutting tool solutions to customers Achieve business and financial outcomes according to expectation for assigned customer portfolio Maintain and/or develop relationships to secure customer commitment Develop strategies in conjunction with the account portfolio manager, determining activities focused on customer needs and pain-points Ensure that an appropriate development strategy is defined for the assigned customer portfolio Review results and develop corrective actions securing delivery of results according to plan Maintain existing market shares and hunt for new opportunities Recommend products and service that fit well with the customer’s business needs Responds to technical questions regarding products, systems and or services Troubleshoot, investigate and resolve technical problems that arise during or after implementation Coordinate specialist support as required fulfilling the Sandvik Coromant commitment Monitor the competitor landscape and alternative solutions that can jeopardize business Demonstrate delivered added value through your input into customer value files within the assigned customer portfolio Provide accurate and timely market information regarding customers and competitors About you: You will bring over five years of experience in CNC Machining or engineering metal cutting tools, a dynamic blend of expertise, innovation, and collaboration to every challenge. Thriving in global matrix organisations, you turn complex customer needs into seamless solutions by skilfully leveraging cross-functional resources. A background in project management and productivity enhancement reflects your ability to streamline processes and deliver tangible results that make a difference.
