Location: Indianapolis, IN - On-Site Summary/Objective: Applications Support Specialist provides technical assistance and support for software applications to end-users and clients, ensuring smooth operation and resolving issues. They may handle support tickets, troubleshoot problems, provide training, and collaborate with developers and vendors.    Duties/Responsibilities:   Essential functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions. * Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues with software applications.  * Assist, answer questions, and guide end-users on how to use applications.  * Ensure applications are up to date, including updates, patches, and upgrades.  * Create and maintain documentation for support procedures and user guides.  * Work with developers, vendors, and other IT staff to address issues and enhance applications.  * Provide training to users on new or updated software applications.  * Monitor application performance, identifying potential problems, and reporting issues to developers.    Competencies * Strong understanding of operating systems, software applications, and IT infrastructure.  * Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.  * Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interacting with users, developers, and vendors.  * Ability to provide friendly and efficient support to users.  * Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions.    Physical demands This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time. It may also require standing, walking, carrying, pushing, pulling, lifting (up to 25 pounds), kneeling, crouching, reaching, talking and hearing.
