Role Summary: The Business Apps Specialist is the primary owner of Stallion’s business applications, integrations, and operational dashboards within the Security & Surveillance division. This role is responsible for designing, building, and evolving a centralized ecosystem that connects hardware systems, cloud platforms, and internal tools to deliver clear operational visibility, automation, and reliable reporting. This position operates with a high level of autonomy and accountability. The Business Apps Specialist independently defines integration approaches, makes architectural decisions, and executes solutions that remove manual effort and reduce reliance on leadership for day-to-day platform decisions, while collaborating with internal teams and external technology partners. The Business Apps Specialist is responsible for designing, building, and evolving Stallion’s integrated platform ecosystem within the Security & Surveillance division. This role focuses on connecting data and workflows across hardware systems, cloud platforms, and internal tools to create a centralized operational view that improves troubleshooting efficiency, reporting, and automation. This position blends technical execution, product ownership, and cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate can take high-level direction and translate it into practical integrations, dashboards, and automated workflows while coordinating with internal teams and external technology partners. Role Priorities / Responsibilities: Serve as the primary owner and decision-maker for business application integrations and dashboards Design, build, and maintain a centralized operational dashboard aggregating data from multiple platforms Translate operational and product requirements into technical workflows, data models, and reporting Continuously improve dashboard usability, performance, and relevance for Support and Operations teams Design and implement integrations using APIs, webhooks, SMTP, and other communication protocols Integrate systems including VMS platforms, monitoring tools, asset systems, support platforms, and communications tools Enable automation such as ticket creation, alerts, status updates, and reporting Build and maintain lightweight integrations, scripts, or middleware where appropriate Determine when to build internally versus leveraging external development resources Collaborate with vendor development teams and integration partners to design, test, and deploy solutions Validate data accuracy, reliability, authentication, and error handling across integrations Own integration documentation, architecture diagrams, workflows, and SOPs Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort and eliminate operational blind spots Ensure integrations align with product standards and long-term supportability Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong understanding of API-based integrations, REST concepts, authentication methods, and data exchange Experience with scripting, automation, or low-code tooling (Python, PowerShell, REST clients, workflow platforms) Understanding of networking fundamentals and cloud-based system communication Ability to work across hardware, software, and SaaS platforms Strong product mindset with the ability to define problems, propose solutions, and iterate Ability to work independently and translate direction into execution Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple integration efforts Education or Certification: 4–7+ years of experience in systems integration, platform operations, technical product roles, or similar Demonstrated experience integrating multiple systems or platforms Experience working with external developers, vendors, or technology partners Exposure to security, surveillance, IoT, or infrastructure-based environments preferred Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required; practical experience and technical judgment are valued
