Description
As a member of the ACS Control Team, this role contributes to the development of next-generation control algorithms and engineering tools, while also supporting customers with deep technical expertise across ACS motion control solutions. Reports to: CTO Primary Duties and Responsibilities · Stay current with advancements in AI/ML and incorporate relevant innovations into the development of state-of-the-art control technologies for ACS products. · Design, develop, and validate AI/ML-based control algorithms to enhance the performance, robustness, and intelligence of ACS motion control platforms. · Collaborate closely with leading high-tech equipment manufacturers in the Semiconductor, Mobile Device, Flat Panel Display, Life Sciences, and Photonics industries to define requirements and tailor solutions. · Deliver technical training, seminars, and presentations to customers, partners, and internal teams, demonstrating advanced control concepts and AI/ML capabilities. · Author high-quality technical materials including white papers, application notes, tutorials, and instructional videos to support customer adoption and knowledge sharing. Requirements · M.Sc.in Mechatronics/Autonomous Systems/Robotics/Mechanical Engineering/Aeronautical Engineering, or a closely related discipline. · Proven experience in data-driven algorithm development, with an advantage for experience on real-world time-series data. · Strong foundation in Control Theory · Solid knowledge in at least two of the following areas: o Neural Networks Architectures (RNN/CNN/PINN), o Hyperparameters Optimization, o Feature Engineering, o Optimization Methods, o Reinforcement Learning o Real-Time Learning/Estimation · Proficiency in at least two programming environments: C/C++, Python, MATLAB / Simulink. · Ability to design algorithms from the ground up, as well as effectively utilize modern open-source ML and control libraries. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, effective collaboration with colleagues and customers, independence, and rapid learning capability. · Fluent in English, both written and spoken. · Advantages: o PhD in related field, o Experience with ML infrastructure, edge deployment, o Experience in programming DSP peripherals, o Relevant experience in the motion control industry.
