Description

The Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Appointment Coordinator to join our team in Salinas. This role is critical in managing appointment scheduling and supporting logistics operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be proficient in order management systems.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary contact for scheduling loading appointments and responding to inquiries regarding orders, changes, adjustments, or cancellations from salesteams, distribution centers, customers, brokers, and transportation providers.
  • Maintain a high level of customer service by building and sustaining strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Utilize J.D. Edwards and PKMS systems to retrieve and update customer orders, inventory status, and shipment information; ensure the use of accurate data entryand system codes.
  • Coordinate closely with harvest and production supervisors to align scheduled shipments with operational capacity and timing.
  • Support sales representatives and customer service personnel with logisticsrelated needs.
  • Generate and analyze reports related to customer order activity, including metrics such as load time averages, missed or delayed appointments, and fill rates.
  • Track and report logistics issues and collaborate with other departments to resolve them effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics, scheduling, or order managementrole.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; additional coursework or certifications in logistics or supply chain is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and J.D. Edwards; experience with PKMS or similar order management systems is preferred.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.
