- Implementing and managing database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions using AWS services like Backup and CloudFormation.
- Monitoring and maintaining database availability, health, and performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Performance Insights, and third-party monitoring solutions.
- Automating database provisioning, maintenance, and scaling using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools and ensure consistency across environments.
- Developing reusable automation scripts and templates to standardize operational processes, reduce manual intervention, and accelerate delivery.
- Ensuring database security by implementing IAM policies, encryption (KMS), and auditing for compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborating with development and DevOps teams to integrate database services into CI/CD pipelines and application architectures.
- Contributing to inner-source practices by creating and maintaining a centralized repository of database management scripts, configurations, and automation frameworks accessible across teams.
- Enabling AppOps teams by building reusable database monitoring, alerting, and self-healing modules to ensure operational support scalability.
- Troubleshooting database-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, connection pooling, and query optimizations.
- Staying updated with AWS database offerings, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve solutions.
