Your Opportunity We are seeking a Consultant to join our dynamic team based in British Columbia, Lower Mainland. What You’ll Do You’ll travel to a variety of buildings, from private sector properties to public sector facilities, capturing details on buildings, furnishings, equipment, measurements and photographs. You’ll gain experience across many sectors, including multi-unit dwellings, commercial, municipal, and education. Your work will involve: - Site Inspections: Travel to various locations to gather detailed information, measurements, and photographs. - Research and Analysis: Assist in conducting thorough research and expert analysis to develop solid, defensible value estimates. - Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure accurate and reliable appraisals. Travel Opportunities This role offers variety and exciting travel opportunities, with approximately 30% - 40% travel primarily within British Columbia, with occasional Western Canada and national travel. You’ll have the chance to explore new places and various industries while contributing to our success. Therefore, you must reside in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia What We’re Looking For You’re eager to start or advance your career in appraisal with a dynamic, growth-focused organization. You’re proactive, goal-oriented and able to work independently and as part of a team. You enjoy building positive relationships with stakeholders and are committed to providing high levels of service and meeting our Brand Promise. You have strong attention to detail and can manage multiple projects with competing deadlines. You are proficient with technology and can learn new digital tools and systems quickly. You’re willing to travel regionally and nationally and have a valid driver’s license. Your Credentials - Full proficiency in English (additional language proficiency is an asset); - Post-secondary education; - Solid construction knowledge; - Field inspection experience, appraisal or cost estimating experience, understanding of building design and the ability to read blueprints are assets; - Strong digital literacy, including efficient file management, data accuracy, and attention to detail when working with technology; - Proficient with Microsoft Office; and - A combination of education, knowledge and experience will be considered.
