We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice or Assistant Estimator to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in construction estimating. The successful candidate will support the Estimating team in preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of projects.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A keen interest in the construction industry
  • To enrol onto the apprenticeship you will be required to have a Level 3 Construction related qualification
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Relevant qualifications or previous experience in a similar role are desirable but not essential – full training will be provided for the right candidate

Responsibilities
  • Learn and assist in the preparation of cost estimates for all elements of construction projects
  • Support the Estimator in ensuring that all design briefs and specifications are accurately reflected in costings
  • Ensure all costs, including materials and labour, are correctly calculated and documented
  • Assist in producing detailed tenders and quotations, including both financial and supporting descriptive information
  • Attend client meetings with senior staff to support the presentation of tenders and build relationships
