We are seeking a 1st-3rd year Apprentice Automotive Technician to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to kickstart or further their career in the automotive industry. As an apprentice, you will work alongside experienced technicians to learn and develop your skills. We are looking to build a future Nissan master technician, if this sounds like a future you want, lets talk.
Additionally if you are a red seal technician we are always looking to have experienced automotive technicians join our team throughout the Kootenay Auto Mall and would be happy to accept resumes for future positions.
Responsibilities
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing vehicle issues under the guidance of senior technicians
- Learn to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
- Assemble, disassemble, and maintain automotive systems and components
- Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks
- Support with heavy lifting and moving of vehicle parts and equipment
- Utilize hand tools for various mechanical tasks
- Gain hands-on experience in welding techniques
- Provide excellent customer service during interactions
Qualifications
- Basic mechanical knowledge or a strong interest in automotive repair
- Willingness to learn and follow instructions from senior technicians
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required in the automotive repair environment
- Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage is a plus
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive setting is advantageous
