JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Automotive Technician or Journeyman technician to join our dynamic team. This position is designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry while developing their skills under the guidance of experienced technicians. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Basic mechanical knowledge is required; previous experience in automotive repair is a plus.
• Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in automotive maintenance is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics related to automotive systems.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
• Willingness to learn welding techniques as part of vehicle repairs (nice-to-have).
• Must be able to perform heavy lifting as required by job duties.
• A valid driver’s license is preferred but not mandatory.

  Pay: $25.59-$35.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• automotive technician: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Driver’s License (preferred)
• Journeyman (preferred)

• Assist in the diagnosis and repair of automotive systems including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to perform repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Follow schematics and technical manuals to assemble and disassemble vehicle components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
• Perform heavy lifting as needed when handling parts or equipment.
• Collaborate with senior technicians to learn best practices in automotive repair.
• Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge within the automotive field.
