Rexel UK, have a Branch Assistant opportunity within our Stockton branch.
We are looking to employ an enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated individual with a willingness to learn and passionate about delivering outstanding customer service.
As an Apprentice Branch Assistant you will be working in varied roles such as Warehouse/Logistics, Trade Counter and Internal Sales to give you a fantastic grounding for your future career at Rexel. In addition, you will have a tailored training programme aligned to your individual and branch needs, you will be supported in your learning to gain great skills across the fundamental running of a Wholesale Business, setting you on to a Career Path into where you find your passion - this could be Branch Management, Business Development & Sales or Logistics.
This will be a permanent position, working Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 17:00, with dedicated study days and end point assessments through your assigned training provider. Typically your apprenticeship programme takes 18 months to complete, after completion you will remain a permanent employee of Rexel UK.

Responsibilities

You will train across all responsibilities within a Branch Assistant Position which includes:

  • Providing excellent customer service to customers over the phone and face to face
  • Internal Sales - making sales calls to a portfolio of existing and new customers and work with the external sales team
  • Managing stock in and out - order processing, picking and packing, store transfers & stock control
  • Completing the paperwork within the office - raising quotations, following up on quotations & processing customer orders
  • Serving customers on the Trade Counter
  • Carry out sales administration duties
  • There will be a requirement to work in the warehouse, as such you may have to be involved at times in some heavy lifting whilst picking and packing orders and dealing with goods in/out loading delivery vans.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge by learning and keeping up to date with new products entering the market
