Sweco Building Control is one of the leading Building Control consultancies in England and Wales, having provided client-focused expertise since 1998. As a Registered Building Control Approver (RBCA), we directly employ around 100 Registered Building Inspectors (RBIs), with 13 offices offering national UK coverage.
As an Apprentice Building Control Surveyor, you will study for a BSc(Hons) in Building Control with the University College of Estate Management which is taught as an online course giving you the flexibility to combine your work and studies to suit you.

WHAT DO YOU NEED TO APPLY?

We are seeking Apprentices who:

  • Have an interest and basic understanding of UK Building Regulations.
  • Have desire to learn, progress and challenge yourself.
  • Are able to communicate in a fluent and positive manner with Clients and other team members and to produce written documents in clear English.
  • Possess 96 UCAS tariff points (or an equivalent level of attainment through recognised qualifications not included in the UCAS tariff).
  • Have GSCE Grade C or 4 and above in English and Maths (or equivalent).
  • Can work in the UK with no restrictions.
  • Are happy to be in the office on your non study days, at this level this is really important for your development.
Responsibilities

During your time as an Apprentice, you will spend 80% of your time on project work and 20% of time studying.
Working with Sweco will give you the opportunity to work on landmark projects and schemes of all shapes and sizes. You will also learn from experienced people who share a passion for working together with our customers to deliver technical excellence.
Our Building Regulation team work on a wide range of domestic and commercial projects and you will have the opportunity to broaden your expertise and work collaboratively in exciting, transformational projects. Not only with clients but also with our partners.
