East Sussex County Council Education Division within Children’s Services is delighted to announce three exciting opportunities for fixed term Business Administrator Level 3 Apprenticeships.  This is  a great opportunity to begin your career in business administration while supporting services that make a real difference to children, young people, and families across  East Sussex. As a Business Administrator Level 3 Apprentice , you will be based within one of the following teams: •    Assessment and Planning, County Hall, Lewes •    Specialist Teaching Services, St Mary’s House Eastbourne  •    Education and Targeted Support, County Hall, Lewes You will provide administrative support across a range of service areas, gaining valuable insight into the Education Division while developing practical skills in a professional working environment. Apprenticeships are an excellent way to start your career, allowing you to learn and train while working alongside experienced colleagues and developing job‑specific skills. You will be assigned an apprenticeship coach and be supported day‑to‑day by a workplace mentor or supervisor. During the apprenticeship you will build strong administrative skills, and work towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification, all while contributing to services that help children and young people thrive. In this role, you will learn to: * Provide day‑to‑day administrative support including filing, photocopying, mail handling and information updates. * Use Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word and Excel confidently as part of your daily work. * Handle telephone and email enquiries professionally. * Prepare correspondence, reports and accurate data entry across Council systems. * Support meetings and events, including diary coordination, minute‑taking and planning. * Assist with financial processes such as petty cash, invoice processing and maintaining records. * Develop problem‑solving skills to help staff, customers and partner agencies. * Manage your time effectively while completing your Level 3 apprenticeship qualification.     We’re looking for someone who: * Is organised and able to manage their own workload * Is an effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills * Has working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Is accurate, attentive to detail and able to work as part of a team * Is motivated to learn and committed to personal development   Required qualifications * Maths and English at RQF Level 2 in Maths and English (or equivalent) N.B.
