Job Title: Apprentice Butcher
Overview: As an Apprentice Butcher in our butcher shop, you will undergo comprehensive training to develop the skills and knowledge necessary for a successful career in meat preparation and butchery. Under the guidance of experienced butchers, you will learn the art of cutting, trimming, and preparing various meat products.

Responsibilities:

  • Training and Learning:
  • Participate actively in training programs to acquire knowledge of meat cuts, butchery techniques, and food safety practices.
  • Work closely with experienced butchers to develop practical skills in meat preparation and handling.
  • Meat Cutting and Preparation:
  • Assist in cutting, trimming, and portioning various types of meats under supervision.
  • Learn and apply proper techniques for maximizing yield and minimizing waste.
  • Customer Service:
  • Working alongside experienced staff members to observe customer interactions and gain an understanding of providing quality customer service.
  • Assist in answering customer inquiries and providing information on meat products.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Learn to monitor and manage meat inventory levels.
  • Assist in organizing and rotating stock to maintain freshness.
  • Sanitation and Hygiene:
  • Follow established procedures for maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment.
  • Participate in routine cleaning of tools, equipment, and work surfaces.
  • Collaboration:
  • Work collaboratively with the butchery team to contribute to a positive and efficient workflow.
  • Seek guidance and feedback from experienced butchers to improve skills and performance.
  • Compliance:
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and food handling guidelines.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards.
