We’re looking for a motivated Apprentice Carpenter / Labourer to join our team and learn the trade while working on active job sites. You’ll gain hands-on experience, training, and mentoring.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Genuine interest in building and carpentry as a long-term trade career.
  • Physically fit and capable of manual labour.
  • Commitment to safety standards and following instructions.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • White Card (Construction Induction Card) – must have before starting.
  • Driver’s licence and reliable transport to travel between job sites across Brisbane.

Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Apprentice Carpenter / Labourer, you’ll be working under the guidance of qualified tradespeople to learn and apply the practical skills of carpentry. You’ll also support day-to-day site labouring tasks to ensure projects run smoothly, safely, and to schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist tradespeople with construction, installation, and finishing tasks.
  • Carry out basic labouring duties: site preparation, moving materials, cleaning, and setting up work areas.
  • Learn and apply carpentry techniques including measuring, cutting, assembling, and fixing timber and other materials.
  • Use hand and power tools safely under supervision.
  • Follow instructions and training to build trade skills over the duration of the apprenticeship.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment in line with WHS requirements.
  • Attend and complete all required off-the-job training (TAFE or RTO).
