As an employee, you will have access to benefits such as, + Above award wage rates + Overtime (plenty on offer) + Ongoing training & development + Company funded Salary Continuance Insurance + Employee Referral Program - refer a mate & receive $1000 + Employee Assistance Program + Generous paid primary carer Parental & Paternity leave options + Reward & Recognition Program which recognises outstanding achievements of all employees + Uniforms provided + Free onsite parking The Role Reporting directly to the Maintenance Coordinator you will be trained to perform key responsibilities including: + Apply principles, systems & processes of OHS & Food Quality Standards + Operate within a team environment + Interact with IT systems & technology + Perform engineering measurements & calculations + Proactive, preventative, and reactive maintenance to achieve optimal operational requirements whilst maintaining safe work practices. + Use & interpret detailed drawings or specifications to identify job, material and equipment requirements + Basic Mechanical Machining & Fitting + Welding – including TIG for stainless steel + Opportunities to work on and develop skills for a diverse range of Packaging Equipment, Conveyors, Screws, Screens, Pumps, Fans, Dryers and much more + Maintain a clean workplace in compliance with quality and safety processes. + Working through mandatory and elective units to achieve Certificate III Engineering- Mechanical Trade – Fitting & Machining. About You You will bring the following skills, experience, and attributes to the role: + Minimum Completion of Year 11, with an aptitude for technical/mechanical work or relevant Pre-vocation course. + Aptitude for technical/mechanical work + A team player, trustworthy and has good work ethic + A quick learner, willing to listen and learn from experience of others + Strong ongoing commitment to workplace health & safety + Ability to communicate professionally in writing and verbally + Basic skill in the use and maintenance of hand and power tools + Basic computer skills including data entry and knowledge of Microsoft office suite. + Commitment to study and completion of Certificate III qualification + Ability and willingness to travel to study Want to know more?
