We are seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice chef, no professional cooking experience required but an interest in food and cooking essential!
We are 4 Star 20 bedroom Hotel with a 2 AA Rosette fine dining Restaurant. We serve breakfast and dinner 7 days a week as well as Sunday lunches in a restaurant seating up to 55 customers.
Your shifts will be mainly split - with prep in the morning from 10am until 1pm, and assisting with evening dinner service from 5pm until 10pm.
Apprenticeships are available for those aged 16 years upwards and employed for 25 hours per week or more. You can study for an NVQ Level 2 Commis Chef apprenticeship while working with us. The course provider will visit you here so it is a work based rather than a classroom based qualification. Apprenticeship courses provide an excellent opportunity for people to work and gain a nationally recognised qualification.
Applicants must be enthusiastic, well-motivated and have a great work ethic.
Please note that this position involves working weekends, holidays and evenings.
