JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Apprentice Dental Nurse to join our dynamic team Monday- Thursday for 32 hours. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care, assisting the dental team during procedures, and ensuring that the practice runs smoothly. This position requires strong communication and organisational skills, the ability to work independently but also effectively as a team, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and patient comfort.

EXPERIENCE

  • Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • A background in dental nursing or healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory. Training will be provided as you gain your level 3 Dental Nursing qualification.
  • Proficiency in IT systems related to dental practice management is beneficial.

Responsibilities
  • Assist dentists during examinations and treatments, ensuring all necessary instruments are prepared and sterilised. Ensuring your surgery is stocked up at all times.
  • Provide high-quality patient care by reassuring patients, answering their questions, and addressing any concerns they may have.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary using IT systems.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including infection control protocols.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and follow-up communications with patients to ensure continuity of care and ensuring lab work is back for their appointments.
  • Support the dental team in administrative tasks as required, contributing to a well-organised practice environment. Reception duties will be necessary at times.
