The Department of Corporate Resources would like to recruit an Apprentice who is enthusiastic, competent and flexible.
The main purpose of the role:-
Ensure that electrical and mechanical works to Local Authority properties particularly the Sport & Leisure Service swimming pool filtration and mechanical plant is conducted to the highest possible standard in accordance with the Current British Standards and the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.
Carry out maintenance and repair work to ensure the efficient running of the Authorities various Clocks and the districts time pieces and associated mechanisms, including the iconic City Hall clock tower clock and bell mechanisms. (Not all timepieces are owned by the Authority).
Fault find and establish the most appropriate method of conducting the repair, determining and sourcing any necessary plant and materials required to carry out the works in the most cost-effective way, providing excellent customer satisfaction.
The apprentice will follow a programme of training relating to the role and achieve the appropriate skills, competencies and qualifications of the role by the end of the training programme
We are looking for individuals who are committed to undertaking a Intermediate Level (3) in Maintenance and
Operations Engineering Technician

To qualify for the apprenticeship, you must have GCSE Maths and English at Grades 4 or a minimum of Entry Level 3 or above in Maths and English. (An assessment may take place before the interview stage).
