Our products are used by customers around the world. We are on the hunt for an Apprentice Electrician, ideally with industrial experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Above all else, we are looking for a genuine person who wants to work for a company that cares about its employees and their well-being. It would be great if you had the following qualifications:

  • 2nd or 3rd year Electrician Apprentice
  • Experience in electrical wiring, assembly and troubleshooting, either low or high voltage ideally in an industrial setting
  • Knowledge of safe work practices
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Apprentice Electrician is responsible for assembling, testing and troubleshooting of electrical equipment. Your background in industrial wiring greatly aids the Manufacturing team and delivers fast and efficient resolution to any issues that may arise. You will be tasked with assembling electrical panels and electrical systems of different configurations. You will work with both low voltage and high voltage wiring. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our products meet the high quality and standards of the company and our customers.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

These are the types of things you can expect to be involved with on a daily basis:

  • Wiring and assembly of instrument and electrical panels, including running conduit as required.
  • Assemble and/or modify electronic parts and equipment (motors, VFD’s, instrumentation)
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders or reports
  • Provide feedback and corrections on the above documentation as required
  • Ensure proper trade craft with installation of electric equipment and wiring
  • Test and troubleshoot equipment, and correct any defects
  • Set up and operate hand and power tools
  • Keep track of material, tools and equipment, and inform supervisor of shortages
  • Support of assembly and fabrication personnel as required
  • Work independently while following established company policy and procedures
  • Properly and consistently document and follow established procedures
  • Wear proper PPE at all times
  • Other duties as assigned
