What You’ll Be Doing: The Apprentice Electrician assists in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and components under the supervision of a licensed electrician. This role supports safe, reliable, and efficient facility and production operations while learning electrical trade skills and standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. * Support troubleshooting of electrical systems, control panels, motors, and machinery. * Learn and follow electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams. * Perform basic electrical testing using multimeters and other diagnostic tools. * Assist with conduit bending, wire pulling, and termination work. * Follow all safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies. * Maintain clean and organized work areas and tool storage. * Document work performed and assist with maintenance records as required. * Work collaboratively with maintenance, production, and engineering teams. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Basic understanding of electrical theory and components. * Ability to read and learn to interpret electrical drawings and schematics. * Strong attention to safety procedures and detail. * Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn trade skills. * Good communication and teamwork skills. Education and Experience * High school diploma or equivalent required. * Enrollment in or willingness to enroll in an accredited electrical apprenticeship program preferred. * Previous industrial or manufacturing experience is a plus. Physical Requirements * Ability to lift up to [XX] lbs. * Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in various environmental conditions. * Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods. Work Environment * Manufacturing / industrial facility setting. * May require overtime, on-call availability, or shift work depending on operational needs. Safety Requirements * Must follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines. * Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required.
