JOB SUMMARY

I am seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Apprentice Electrician to join my business. This role is ideal for individuals wanting to gain further electrical knowledge and hands-on experience in the electrical field, learning from, and working under the supervision of, an experienced electrician running an established business, covering domestic, commercial and industrial workplaces. As an Apprentice Electrician, you will assist in various electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks, contributing to the successful completion of projects while developing your skills and knowledge in the trade.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Hold a UK driving license and access to a vehicle, to commute from jobs (when necessary).
  • Completed Levels 2 & 3 Diplomas in Electrical Installation (City and Guilds 2365 Course).
Responsibilities
  • Understand how to safely and effectively use basic hand and power tools, to assist in drilling holes, fixing electrical equipment, terminating cables, etc,.
  • Shadow the electrician on all jobs, until deemed competent to perform tasks independently, assisting with manual and electric work as necessary.
  • With experience and proficiency, perform tasks on behalf of the electrician, such as replacing light-fittings, chasing walls, installing trunking/ conduit, etc,.
  • Participate in on-the-job training, actively engaging in learning opportunities.
  • Attend scheduled appraisals, reflecting on strengths, weaknesses, and update Professional Development Plan with actionable points.
  • Demonstrate effective time-management skills and, with practice, contribute to efficient completion of projects, alongside the electrician.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of work areas and tools.
  • Adhere to health and safety protocols by wearing the correct PPE.
