Job Description We’re looking for a motivated and hands-on Apprentice Electrician to join our Electrical team and develop their skills alongside experienced mentors. This is an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience across a range of electrical maintenance, repair, and project work while learning to the highest Australian standards (AS3000). You’ll work across our Gin sites and Grain Services operations, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring all work meets safety, quality, and compliance expectations. To be considered for this position you will: Assist qualified electricians in performing electrical maintenance and repairs Learn and carry out basic electrical maintenance tasks at Gin sites and Grain Services Support continuous improvement and change management initiatives Read and interpret electrical drawings Learn to fault-find PLC systems and maintain motor control systems Assist with project work and electrical installations Perform hazard identification and risk assessments Conduct compliance checks and reporting Work at remote sites when required, including occasional extended stays Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards Qualifications Essential Skills & Experience Demonstrated commitment to safety and awareness of health and safety risks in industrial environments Genuine interest in developing a career as a qualified electrician Basic computer literacy, including Microsoft Word and Excel Ability to safely use hand tools Willingness to learn and work within a team environment Strong communication and problem-solving skills Positive attitude and eagerness to take on new challenges Desirable Skills Basic understanding of ginning or agricultural processing machinery (advantageous but not essential) Knowledge of electrical systems or basic wiring principles Education & Qualifications School Certificate / High School Certificate with solid grades in Mathematic Additional Information Please click on the link to see some of the perks and benefits of working with LDC.
