JOB SUMMARY:

As an Electrical Apprentice/Solar Installer, you’ll be responsible for the mechanical and electrical aspects of solar installations. Working alongside a qualified Journeyperson electrician, you will have the opportunity to learn all aspects of residential and commercial solar installation. We operate across BC and Alberta and will sometimes require you to travel out of town. The ideal candidate will thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoys hands-on work, and takes pride in their craftsmanship.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability for prolonged bending, twisting, and lifting of heavy materials. (Up to 60 pounds)
  • Comfortable working on ladders and at heights in diverse weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel to complete installations. (Up to 25% of the year)
  • Class 5 driver’s license with access to a vehicle or reliable transportation.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
    -Dedication to quality workmanship while working in a fast-paced environment.
    -Self-motivated and open to learning.
    Assets (preferred but not required):
  • Indentured Electrical Apprentice
  • Solar installation experience or solar installation training
  • Fall arrest certificate
  • Related construction or roofing experience
Responsibilities
  • Assist with installing, maintaining, and repairing residential and commercial solar PV systems. (Racking systems, inverters, solar panels, and batteries)
  • Perform tasks such as crawling through attic spaces, drilling, cutting drywall, and fishing wires.
  • Receive shipments, assemble equipment, pack materials, and deliver to job sites.
  • Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
  • Learn and execute basic electrical tasks.
  • Communicate and work closely with staff and customers to ensure high customer satisfaction.
