Location: Ennore, Chennai Department: Engineering (Mechanical - Maintenance) Company: Piramal Pharma Limited Experience: Fresher (Apprenticeship under NATS or similar) Duration: 1 year (as per Apprenticeship Act guidelines) Key Responsibilities: Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, agitators, gearboxes, etc.) Support daily operations and monitoring of utility systems such as chillers, boilers, HVAC, and air compressors. Work closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions. Participate in equipment installation, calibration, and commissioning activities under supervision. Ensure proper documentation and compliance with safety and GMP standards. Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and cleanliness in the workshop and plant area. Learn and apply standard operating procedures (SOPs) relevant to mechanical maintenance.

Responsibilities

Assist in preventive and breakdown maintenance of mechanical equipment and support daily operations of utility systems. Work closely with the engineering team to troubleshoot issues and ensure compliance with safety and GMP standards.
