OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in telecommunications and fiber optics, with hands-on experience in fiber splicing and network installation. This role involves working both in the field and in various environments to ensure the successful installation and maintenance of fiber optic networks.

SKILLS

  • Proficient in fiber splicing techniques and practices.
  • Experience with network installation and configuration, particularly with Cisco routers.
  • Strong understanding of computer networking principles and practices.
  • Field service experience in telecommunications or related industries.
  • Familiarity with cabling standards, including Ethernet and telephony systems.
  • Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Ability to use an ohmmeter for testing electrical connections.
  • Previous service technician experience is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of low voltage electrical systems is a plus.
