YOUR EXPERIENCE

The most important attribute for the role is a great attitude and willingness to learn, but you will also need to:

  • Have completed year 11 studies at a minimum (by the end of 2024)
  • Have great communication skills and enjoy interacting with different groups of people
  • Be able to complete maths problems and put this to use in the workplace
  • We will consider transfers of 1/2/3rd year apprentices as well as school leavers

Some of the key skills you will learn as a Mechanical Fitter Apprentice are:

  • Conduct preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on equipment
  • Repair, overhaul, and test equipment, as well as perform installations
  • Interpret drawings and sketches, and work according to a predetermined maintenance schedule
  • Complete risk assessments and identify underperforming plant equipment for further analysi
Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

Working at our site in Mulwala on Yorta Yorta land you will learn on the job and study to gain your Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
