Your new role Your apprenticeship with Robertson will give you the perfect opportunity to learn as you work. You will work as part of a flexible team with continuing responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive, high quality services to all projects in north east and the surrounding area. The experience will allow you to kickstart your career. Duties To attend college as and when required to successfully fulfill the curriculum of a Joinery apprentice within the allotted time scale. To ensuring all apprenticeship log books and other relevant documents are completed on time and to the highest standards. To ensure any issues / problems raised at college or on site are reported to your appointed mentor To work with tradesmen in an effective, safe and helpful manner To undertake tasks as directed by relevant tradesmen. Co-operate with colleagues, Supervisors and Management Identify any relevant training needs to the Operations /Site Manager Complete paperwork on tasks complete and a weekly timesheet To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools. To operate always with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of Robertson Construction. To report all accidents and incidents as appropriate. To provide support and assistance to other Robertson personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services To maintain an awareness of Robertson policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service. Qualifications Required 4 GCSE (English & Maths) Desired Skills Good practical skills Confidence when using power tools Ability to analyse technical drawings Close attention to detail Ability to maintain focus for long periods of time Ability to follow instructions and ask questions if unclear of instructions A methodical approach to work Problem solving abilities A general understanding of the importance of health and safety in the workplace Good communication and interpersonal skills Excellent customer service Some basic administrative and IT skills Ability to work independently and as part of a small team What's in it for me Our Principles - The Robertson Way Our principles are our roadmap to achieving positive outcomes and delivering on our purpose.
