We are looking for motivated and reliable individuals who are eager to complete a 4-year Apprenticeship and commence a rewarding career as a Heavy Duty Plant Mechanic.

Working with a team of skilled trades personnel, you will be trained in all activities involved with the maintenance troubleshooting and servicing of mechanical systems and components on the Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet which includes the following:

  • 793F Autonomous Trucks
  • D11 Track Dozers
  • 854 Wheel Dozers
  • 994 & 995 Wheel Loaders
  • 16H, 24H & 24M Graders
  • Caterpillar 7495 Rope Shovels
  • Caterpillar 6090 and 6040 Hydraulic Excavator

Responsibilities

You will be ensured the highest standard of learning to complete your four year apprenticeship program and will gain comprehensive on-the-job experience and classroom training required to successfully and confidently complete your nationally recognised trade qualification.

Working with a team of skilled trades personnel, you will be trained in all activities involved with the maintenance troubleshooting and servicing of mechanical systems and components on the Heavy Mobile Equipment fleet which includes the following:

  • 793F Autonomous Trucks
  • D11 Track Dozers
  • 854 Wheel Dozers

The program will commence in February 2026 on a 5:2:4:3, 7:7 or 8:6 roster.
