  • To undertake maintenance and servicing of vehicles and trailers to DVSA standards.
  • Undertake the maintenance of equipment and ancillary equipment to manufacturers and company standards and procedures.
  • Complete all relevant administration and documentation to the correct standard. (Service sheets, Job cards).
  • Report inspect and document findings and faults to equipment on a daily basis and throughout the course of the working day.
  • To be flexible in approach to the role as a whole.
  • Assist in the improvement & development of the workshop operation.
  • Work and communicate well as part of a small team.
  • Attend Preston College on a one day per week release and complete all associated tasks, portfolio work associated with the HGV L3 apprenticeship qualification and sit the releveant end point assessment at the end of the 3 year training period.
  • As an apprentice you will work under the supervision of a workplace mentor and guidance of a work-based tutor.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Knowledge of IT Systems
  • Basic knowledge & interest in Motor Vehicles
  • Flexible approach to a job as a whole

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Maths – GCSE grade 4 / C or above
English – GCSE grade 4 / C or above
Or
Level 2 Functional Skills in Maths an English
