ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

• Commitment and eligibility to complete relevant Cert III qualifications.
• Completed or in the process of completing Year 12.
• Sound academic achievement (passes in all subjects) with a good attendance record.
• Intermediate to advanced mathematics skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to all safety requirements.
• Mechanically minded with an understanding of basic hand tools and their applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• A reliable team player who is motivated and eager to learn.

Under supervision, the Apprentice Maintenance Fitter will be involved in fitting and assembling parts and sub-assemblies made from metal and other materials for production machinery and other equipment, working from detailed drawings or specifications using hand and machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
