NEPEAN Conveyors engineer, procure, construct, commission, and optimise the availability of integrated electro-mechanical bulk materials handling conveyor solutions and products across the entire product lifecycle. We design and manufacture in multiple locations around Australia. We are strategically located close to major mining areas so we can service our port, iron ore, coal, and hard-rock customers.

As an Apprentice Mechanical Fitter, you’ll work hands-on with industry-leading underground mining equipment, training alongside highly skilled tradespeople while completing your nationally recognised Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering (Fitting).

YOU’LL BE INVOLVED IN:

• ️ Assisting in the assembly and disassembly of high-tech underground mining equipment, including gearboxes, driveline systems, hydraulic power packs, and more.
• ️ Supporting the maintenance and servicing of fixed and mobile plant equipment on-site.
• Completing maintenance reports and documentation for inspected or repaired equipment.
• Pitching in with ancillary tasks like minor painting, steam cleaning, and workshop duties.
• Following precise assembly procedures and keeping accurate job documentation.
• ️ Meeting deadlines and delivering quality results as part of the team.

• Year 10 completion (minimum).
• ️ A genuine interest in a manufacturing or mechanical career.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative.
• The ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Commitment to attend all required TAFE classes.
