An exciting opportunity to gain a qualification and be paid as you learn!
This four year Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship will develop your skills and knowledge in the production environment here at Waters Wilmslow, through study and hands on training. The apprenticeship offers employment while you learn, develop new skills and work within a team environment. You will gain recognised qualifications in Mechanical Engineering during your first 3 years of the Apprenticeship.
The role covers all stages of Waters Mass Spectrometry products’ life cycle from early engineering units, through alpha, beta, pre-production and production phases.

Responsibilities
  • To assemble the mechanical and electrical elements of Waters Mass Spectrometry products in line with business requirements
  • To process customer orders for dispatch in line with the departmental process
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and procedures (safety, employment, expenses, training, PPE etc).
  • To ensure the implementation and recording of engineering change is carried out effectively within the department.
  • To configure and prepare instruments/upgrades to relevant procedures and build specifications in readiness for New Product Operation Test.
  • Ensure equipment/tools used are within calibration
