ROLE
Reporting to the Foreman-Service, install, maintain, repair, and troubleshoot stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment under the guidance of experienced journeyman millwrights, focusing on safety, hands-on training and acquiring essential skills.
· Install, maintain, repair and troubleshoot Generators & Pumps
· read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures
· operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts
· fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances
· align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments
· perform predictive and operational procedures
· repair or replace defective parts
· service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems
· tack welding (a weld that is adequate in size to temporarily hold components in place until it can be completely welded by a registered apprentice welder or a journeyman welder) and fabrication as well as maintain an inventory of replacement parts.

ROLE
Reporting to the Foreman-Service, is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in various industrial settings. Monitoring and mentoring apprentices and shop hands with a special emphasis on safety, quality and technical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Reading and interpreting drawings and schematics
· Basic knowledge of chillers, compressors and centrifuges, pumps, pump drives and valves
· Know and understand process documentation and customer specific requirements, as they relate to the job function
· Establishing and following up on project implementation, including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning, as required
· Providing support in troubleshooting, repairing and making system improvements (optimization), to ensure quality and efficiencies within the department
· Identifying root cause of equipment failures and follow-up on feasibility of modifications
· Demonstrating a sense of urgency in achieving results
· Performing preventative maintenance to defined schedules
· Assisting and supporting in all other technical areas, where required
· Maintaining a clean and environmentally safe workshop and production lines
