APPRENTICE MOTOR VEHICLE TECHNICIAN.

We are currently recruiting for an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work with one of the world’s most prestigious and technologically advanced car manufacturers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS.

Applicants are required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSE Grade A-C / 9-4 or Functional Skills Level 2 (or equivalent) in the following subjects:

  • English
  • Maths
  • ICT (or one other subject if candidate did not take ICT)
  • To be eligible to work in the UK before you apply,
  • Preferable hold a full UK driver’s license (this is due to the nature of the role)

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE.

As an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician at Hedin Automotive, you will be working in a busy BMW/MINI service workshop, where you will learn to complete routine service inspections and repairs to the high standards of the BMW/MINI brand.

THE MAIN DUTIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE

The course is unique to BMW with a special emphasis on electronics and cutting-edge technology; your training will include the opportunity to work on the latest:

  • Cars
  • Engines and BMW diagnostic equipment
  • Ultimately leading to the ability to undertake
  • Maintenance
  • Service
  • Repair activities on vehicles to the highest standards once fully qualified

During the time spent at Hedin Automotive a mentor will be allocated to oversee the work-based learning program. A BMW representative will also visit on a 12-week basis to set performance targets and ensure any development needs are being met.
