Competitive pay Painter Apprenticeship Location: Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire Contract Type: Fixed Term Apprenticeship Salary: Offering the nationally agreed apprentice pay rates, plus excellent company benefits. What does a life as a Painter look like. A painter’s job involves working in a variety of settings, including residential homes, commercial buildings, offices, schools, and industrial sites and domestic households. Their primary responsibility is to prepare surfaces and apply various decorative finishes to enhance the appearance and protection of walls, floors, ceilings, and other structures. The apprenticeship course will cover the following: - Develop and maintain good working relations. Read technical instructions. Prepare surfaces for painting and decorating. Apply water borne surface coatings. Apply solvent borne surface coatings. Hang wallcoverings Apply coatings using air and airless spraying Apply coating to produce textured coatings Install coving. Produce decorative effects. What do you need to be a successful applicant: - The potential to work at SCQF level 6/7 The ability and desire to learn and develop a thorough knowledge of the skills, technology and safety procedures required to carry out the full range of tasks Strong communication skills Ability to establish and maintain good customer/client relationships.
