JOB OVERVIEW

The apprentice will work within our Patient Services Team and gain knowledge of all aspects of the role including telephone handling, all administration roles and reception duties. There will be close contact with our patients and all other teams within our clinic including our Nursing and Embryology teams. An understanding of the services we provide will be gained, during orientation our apprentice will spend time in all departments getting to know the staff and learning their role within our patient’s journey.

KEY SKILLS

  • All basic administration skills
  • Computer skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft outlook, word and excel
  • An ability to answer the phone and communicate eloquently with our patients.
  • To welcome patients and visitors on reception desk in a smart, polite and efficient manner
Responsibilities
  • Inputting patient demographics into our electronic system
  • Making appointments
  • Entering referrals onto CIS ( our electronic patient records system )
  • Input and update the nurses rota electronically
  • Cover reception as needed
  • Liaise with other team members and other departments within the clinic as needed and also across the organisation .
